Michael Pollan in New York

Michael Pollan, beloved author of The Omnivore’s Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals, will be speaking at PS-1 Contemporary Art Center in Long Island, New York at a free event sponsored by the New York Horticultural Society in conjunction with IMPLANT (a group show they’ve mounted at the UBS galleries at 1285 Avenue of the Americas on 52nd Street that was in part inspired by The Botany of Desire and includes a painting by Pollan’s wife Judith Belzer).

The name of his talk is “Taking The Plant’s Point of View.”

I’d love to go, but I just can’t make that drive this Friday — though I did drive up to the spectacular Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania last week.
